👏 Now Open for the Canadian Screen Awards — and Now Streaming in the U.S.

The Canadian Screen Awards voting period is officially open, and we’re incredibly proud (and genuinely honoured) to put Tootoo forward For Your Consideration.
This film has always been about so much more than hockey.
Tootoo tells a deeply personal story of resilience, strength, loss, healing and hope, a journey rooted in Inuit culture and lived experience, and carried by the extraordinary courage of Jordin Tootoo. From the ice to the darkest moments off it, this is a story about survival, accountability, and the power of ending generational trauma.
To everyone who helped bring this film to life, our collaborators, partners, community leaders, and audiences, thank you. This recognition belongs to all of you.
🎬 Canadian Screen Awards — For Your Consideration
If you’re a member of the Academy, we would be sincerely honoured to be considered during this voting window. Canadian storytelling matters. Indigenous voices matter. And films like Tootoo exist because people believe those stories deserve to be seen, and heard and Jordin has the strength to share it with the world.

🇺🇸 Now Streaming in the U.S. on TVOD
We’re also excited to share that Tootoo is now available on most major transactional video-on-demand platforms in the United States, including:
Apple TV / iTunes
YouTube / Google Play
We are still waiting on Amazon and Vudu to trigger, If you haven’t seen the film yet, or if you’d like to revisit it, be sure to tune in this week.
This release marks another important step in bringing Tootoo to wider audiences, continuing the conversation around mental health awareness, suicide prevention, Indigenous representation, and what real strength looks like when the spotlight fades.
Thank You
Whether you’re an Academy voter, an industry peer, or someone discovering this story for the first time, thank you in advanced for watching, sharing, and supporting meaningful Canadian documentaries.
We’re beyond proud of this film.
We’re proud of the story it tells.
And we’re grateful for the opportunity to share it with the world.
