We’re beyond thrilled to share that between the three of our recent films — Singhs in the Ring, Tootoo, and Dolph — our team has received an incredible 17 nominations at the 2025 AMPIA Rosie Awards!
The Rosies celebrate the best of Alberta’s screen industry, and to be recognized across so many categories is an honour that speaks to the tireless work, creativity, and passion of everyone who contributed to these projects.
Singhs in the Ring – 9 Nominations
Licensed by Bell, our feature documentary following wrestling legends Gama Singh and Raj Singh leads the way with nine nominations. From directing and writing, to cinematography, editing, sound, score, and even animation, this film was truly a team effort and we’re proud to see so many talented collaborators recognized.

Tootoo – 5 Nominations
Licensed by Super Channel, Tootoo tells the powerful story of Jordin Tootoo’s journey as the first Inuk player in the NHL. It has been nominated in five categories, including Best Documentary Production and Best Director. This project was deeply personal and important to us, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see it celebrated.
Dolph – 3 Nominations
Also licensed by Super Channel, our documentary on action star Dolph Lundgren has received three nominations, including Best Documentary Production and Best Director. This project was an amazing collaboration, and we’re thrilled to see it standing tall alongside our other films.

A Celebration of Alberta Storytelling
For both of us, it’s especially meaningful to be recognized here at home. Alberta has an incredible community of filmmakers and craftspeople, and these nominations are a reflection of that collective strength.
We couldn’t be prouder of our teams, and we’re grateful to AMPIA and the Rosie Awards jury for shining a spotlight on these stories. A big thank you as well to our broadcast partners Bell and Super Channel for their continued support in helping us bring these stories to audiences across Canada.
The 2025 Rosie Awards will take place on the evening of October 25. Full event details and tickets are available here: AMPIA Rosie Awards 2025.
\It’s sure to be a night to remember, and regardless of the outcome, we’re already feeling like winners thanks to this recognition.
