We’re fired up to share that Bif Naked has been nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award (GSA) for Best Director (Non-Fiction) at the Yorkton Film Festival.
For nearly 80 years, Yorkton has stood as one of Canada’s most respected festivals, known for its rigorous adjudication process and for championing the best in Canadian storytelling. This is our first time submitting, so to land a nomination at this level means a lot to our entire team.
And honestly, this one feels right.
Pollyanna Hardwicke-Brown came into this film and elevated it in a way that’s been undeniable. The way she shaped the story, connected with audiences, and brought Bif’s world to life has been something special to watch. This nomination is incredibly well deserved.

MOMENTUM BUILDING
This comes right on the heels of an incredible screening of Tootoo in Fort Nelson, BC, where the historic Phoenix Theatre was completely sold out, marking the venue’s first full-capacity screening since 2019.
The energy in the room was something you can’t replicate. Powerful, emotional, and a reminder of why we do this.
A huge thank you to Leah, Bailee, and the entire Prophet River First Nations community for bringing us up, and for creating such a meaningful event. It was an honour to be there alongside Jordin Tootoo and Brian McGrattan, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
WHAT'S NEXT
Both of these award-winning films can be watched on Super Channel. Be sure to tune in this weekend if you haven't already!
We’re just getting started.
More updates, more momentum, and a lot of exciting things on the horizon.
Stay tuned.
