10 ROSIE NOMINATIONS. TWO FILMS. ONE INCREDIBLE TEAM. 🎬

Some announcements are about a film. This one is about the people who make them.

We’re incredibly proud to share that the ScoreG family has received 10 nominations at the 2026 Alberta Film & Television Awards (Rosie Awards) across two films that mean a hell of a lot to us: Bif Naked and Funny Money: The Dane Cook Story.

Both Bif Naked and Funny Money are nominated for Best Unscripted Production Over 30 Minutes, while members of our filmmaking family have been recognized across directing, cinematography, editing, sound, original music and production design.

I've been doing this for close to 20 years now, and one thing I've learned is that documentaries are never made by one person. People see the producer, director or subject doing interviews and walking red carpets, but behind every film is a group of incredibly talented people quietly grinding away for months, sometimes years, trying to make every frame, cut, sound and piece of music better.

These 10 nominations belong to those people.

A huge congratulations to Pollyanna Hardwicke-Brown, nominated for directing Bif Naked and alongside Graeme Fellows and Kevin Morstad for editing; Chase Gardiner for cinematography and, alongside Kevin, production design; Johnny Blerot Sound for sound; John Iaquinta and Carey Opper for their sound work on Funny Money; Alec Harrison for his original score; and my brother and producing partner Shane Fennessey, recognized for his production design on Funny Money.

And, of course, congratulations to everyone who poured themselves into both productions,  including the people whose names aren't on an individual nomination but whose fingerprints are all over these films.

For Shane and me, having both films nominated together for Best Unscripted Production is probably what hits home most.

They're very different stories.

Bif Naked is an intimate portrait of one of Canada's most fearless and unique artists, and a film our team fought incredibly hard to get right.

Funny Money takes us into Dane Cook's extraordinary rise, devastating betrayal of his own brother, another project that took years of trust, persistence and creative hustle to bring to the screen.

Different films. Different journeys. A lot of the same Alberta filmmaking family behind them.

And that's something I'm incredibly proud of.

ScoreG was built in Alberta on a pretty simple belief: we can create and produce out of Aberta/Canada and compete with any other unscripted team in the world. 

We've been fortunate enough to see our documentaries travel internationally, land with major studios and streaming platforms and reach audiences around the world. But being recognized at home, alongside so many talented Alberta filmmakers, still means something special.

And congratulations to every single 2026 Rosie nominee. Alberta has an incredible film and television community, and we're proud as hell to be part of it.
